Graham and Snow

Graham on Jan 19, 2009 with Jason and Riley. This was Graham's first time to see snow! There wasn't very much to see but he did enjoy playing with Uncle Jason and Riley.

11 years ago yesterday, January 16, 1998

Brad and I went on our first date. I remember it was a cold January night outside and I was on crutches. Brad was so considerate to bring his dad's 1996 oldsmobile cutless supreme convertable so that I didn't have to climb into his F350 truck. We went to dinner at TGI Friday's in Memphis. It was fun! Who knew that we would be married 9 years later and have an 11 month old baby boy and Brad would be a doctor? Wow time flies when you are having fun! I will try to find some old pictures, and post them later.

Graham is walking!

Well he took his first 3 steps on Jan 6th. He did it 3 times, but of course when I got the video camera out, he wanted to hold the camera so I could not video tape him and keep him away from the camera at the same time. Hopefully when Brad gets home, if he gets home before bedtime 6:30 I will try to video him walking. Today he took 5 steps, walking to me. It is very exciting! Graham also drank from a regular cup yesterday in the bath tub. So if you know Graham, there is more than just water in his bath tub:) He is also eating better and a wider variety of foods. He ate a rice cracker for the first time all by himself yesterday. Brad and I were talking last night about how much Graham has grown in the past month and how many new things he can do.

Hello 2009!

I'm back! We had to take a break for a little bit of sleep training, but I'm happy to be back to the world of blogging. Graham has grown like a weed in the past 4 weeks. He enjoys swinging on the swings in the park, pushing his "lawn mower" outside, (he pushes it inside too, but he prefers to be outside) playing patty cake, playing "I'm gonna get you" (that involves me or Daddy or Aunt Jennifer crawling around on the floor and chasing him.) He can almost walk, enjoys babbling, loves his bathes, and he can stand up and tee tee on command in the bath tub! I am happy to report he has made the ever so hard transition to his crib and is sleeping through the night! Thanks to my mom for all of her help and support. Aunt Jennifer is here in Auburn with us and we are really enjoying all of her help. Jennifer does all the laundry in the house, takes out the trash, prepares Graham's bath and pajamas, unloads the dishwasher, turns on baby einstein, takes Shakey out several times a day, and watches Graham while I take a shower. Needless to say, she will be missed when she returns to Horseshoe some time at the end of January.
