My tutorial on cake pops

1st step- bake a regular box cake
(sorry I didn't remember to take the picture until after we took some of the cake out)

this is something you will need to hold your cake pops while they set up
( floral foam at hobby lobby)

put the cake in a bowl and break it up
add about 1/2 carton of icing and mix well
(It should easily form a ball)

next roll into balls

put in freezer and let them set up

(woops these 2 pictues are out of order)
next dip the lolipop stick into melted chocolate and put in the cake pop

put in freezer and let set up again
(this is an important step, so the sticks stay in the pops)

roll in hand to shape

dip into melted chocolate

make sure to tap excess chocolate off the cake pop

roll in sprinkles while chocolate is still warm

last step refrigerate and enjoy!

OK these are TRUELY a hit at our house. And the best part about them, you can make several, all different kinds and use white chocolate too. Then wrap them in siran wrap and put them in a zip lock freezer bag and leave them in the freezer. Just pull one or two out when you want a small sweet snack. Not sure how long they will last in the freezer. (ours only lasted about a week, although none of them were thrown away):)
I'm sure Graham would have loved to help, he was napping when Sarah and I made these, bc we didn't want his stiky fingers on our project. I will let him help me next time, because he LOVES sprinkles!
